Hi, I have installed Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition v10 and have deleted the main directory in program files, now I am unable to uninstall it. I have managed to partically remove it all, but now whenever I right click something windows installer pops up asking for the directory to be restored "Error 1706: No Valid source could be found for product Symantec Antivirus......" Does anyone know to disable the installer from launching? Thanks put the CD back in the drive (or get access to it from it's directory or whatever) then repair it as follows: C:\\> msiexec /i "D:\\SAV\\Symantec AntiVirus.msi" let it go through it's dog&pony show then when it's done, uninstall it properley: C:\\> msiexec /x "D:\\SAV\\Symantec AntiVirus.msi" Hi, I had the same problem and after much searching around, finally came up with the solution - and it is pretty simple. Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package from: download.microsoft.com/d...e1bd/msicuu2.exe Install and run. Remove the offending Symantec Install Package from the list. Wella.
